Can't log in--'inventory system not available'

Anyone else having this problem. Funny, I was just talking about how SL works for me...and then I was bamborkeled.

From the blog:
The Second Life Server Team will be doing some scheduled maintenance upon several inventory servers. A small amount of residents will be effected and be unable to log in for approximately 30 mins between 7 AM PST and 1:00 PM PST. Thank you for your patience while we work to improve the Second Life experience.

I think.. I'll wait until it's over before logging in. Knowing my luck, both my accounts will have issues with the inventory! Hmm.. maybe I should go make a third one?

as an inventory server can hold the assets of a million avatars, the "some" isn`t that small, the excuse to use "a small amount of people being affected" is the chance that 10,000 users online from the same asset server is low and they banned gambling  |

It implies that if you can log in, your account should be unaffected by the maintenance. That's not what we're experiencing. Obviously, the maintenance is the likely cause of the problems, but if so, the blog is inaccurate. Logging in was the only thing that did go smoothly for me a few moments ago. My inventory wouldn't load and I got the redmap message about 20 seconds after logging in. |
