i am considering selling about 1/4 of a mainland sim in the next few weeks ... and am fully aware that this is a bad time to be selling.

i could break it up into 512-2048 plots and sell them myself ...

but i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of good land brokers they might have used?

Egon,

I don't understand your problem. Why is this a bad time to be selling?

Why not just make it look pretty and put it up for sale? Why do you need any help with that? (And I hate to see land broken up, but that's just me)

sarah nerd. Best in the biz. Or set it for L$7.2 a meter yourself. It will go in a few hours.

it's a bad time because most of this land was bought last winter ... when 512s were going for well over $L10K. i myself paid L$15K for more than a couple of them.

they are fixed up pretty.. and extensive network of pools, waterfalls and streams with oriental pavilions and tea houses scattered around.

i hate to see it broken up too... but i've had this under construction for a year and i think it's time to move on to other things.

Well depending on how soon your tier cycle is coming, I'd just set it for sale on the high side and respond to any serious offers that you can live with. On a large plot of mine, I got several stupid sub-land-bot price offers, and then it just sold for my full asking price the next day.

I can't see you'd get any more out of it from a land broker. No offense to Sarah Nerd, but I thought she bought land at prices that were higher than a landbot, but still low, which is a great alternative to abandoning it when somone is in a real pinch (but correct me if Sarah can do something better than that).

my thinking is that i can sell the entire thing to a land broker and then move on. bang. end of era.

the alternate is for me to sell it off piece by piece which will be an extended process. i know i'll make more this way.

i'm not sure yet which way i want to go and am just looking for information at this point.

It sounds lovely, would you be willing to send me the coordinates? I might be interested in a part of it or, if you decide to sell it in one piece, at least looking at what you have built.

thanks malia.

it's on yamma yamma sim.

just tp to the sim landing point. it'll put you into a spur of my land. walk thru the torii gate to the west and down the hill easing towards the north (right). that'll put you at the lower pond area. follow that up the stream to the upper pond.

there are a couple dis-connected "primmage pastures" that i also have. not much on those.

i'll be giving my neighbors first crack. tho i don't think any of them want to tier up for it or any part of it.

i'm glad you like it, malia.

i've already found someone who wants 3400 meters of it. that transaction will be done tomorrow morning.

that leaves a 8800 meter piece and 4 smaller (512-1536) detached pieces.

someone suggested leaving the large piece whole and listing that ... saying that not many big pieces appear in the sale lists. so i'll probably try that for a week or two ... and set the 3 small pieces for sale separately.

which means i'll be spending the weekend "demolishing" ... er .. i mean ... taking prims back into inventory.

<< looks in inventory for those construction cranes and my hard hat, tool belt, etc.
