I haven't sold land in years so i'm rusty! Should the "allow deed to group" ticky box be checked or unchecked?

If it's not ticked it's not group owned land.

Actually, if the owner does not say (Group Owned) then it is not group owned and the money will go to you.

If it is group owned, you will need to sell the land back to yourself.

Land can only have one owner - either you or the group.
In About Land, the "Owner" will be clear as to which.

If it is group owned, then the sale proceeds will be divided between *only* those members who have "Pay group liabilities" in their role.
It can take up to 24 hours for this money to appear in your account. The process to transfer to group members is run in the early hours of a San Francisco morning.

IF it is group owned and you want all the money to appear in your account immediately, then you have to sell the land to yourself for L$0 - BUT - *very carefully*
Withdraw enough tier donation from the group so that the "Available for.." in your "World / My Land" is sufficient to cover the area in question.
==> If you don't do that, you will go up a tier level.
You will get a warning that "Group members need to donate .. blah, blah..", but no worries as long as you buy the land from the group without undue delay.

Sorry, no, I didn't mean to infer that. Check out the sticky about transferring land, you'll need to do that.

However if you are the only group member who pays and receives group liabilities then you can sell it as is, the money probably won't appear in your account until the day after the sale.
