Hi guys, I just got into making stuff, and go a nice stand at a club, and happily selling some items But theres something i need to know, if u can help. I have just made 12 twinkle Birth stone necklaces, which I want to display, but i realize that some poeple may want to buy one for a loved one! Does anybody know, if I was to put "Buy as gift option", how i actually deliver the item to the chosen avater other the buyer has bought it for them! Also although my hippo rent thing says im allowed 30 prims, it still reads 0 zero used, how do i find out, without keeping counting my items all the time how i can get a prim count?? thanks for listening Michaelatv xxx

you'll need a scripted vendor to do that. search "vendor" inworld, and on SL Exchange, etc

Hello! For the first part of your question, the most simple way for you to make your items giftable is to make them modify/transfer in their permissions. If you would rather keep Modify/Copy or some other permission setting, then I would highly recomend looking at some of the vendors available that have a gifting option, such as Hippo-vend or the JEVN vendors. I believe there are quite a few others, but these are the most frequently used ones as far as I have seen. They are deffinatly an invenstment though For a nice presentation, you may want to try a "holo-vendor" I have a free one that is full perms I will send you in world, so you can make it look any way you like. It does not have a gifting option though I'm afraid. As for your hippo-rent trouble, I am not sure why it is not reflecting your prim usage, Hipporent is highly customizable, and one of the things the owner of the system can do is to turn off the prim reporting. It is possible that your landlord has done this. If you would like to quickly check your prim count, just go to your tools menu at the top of your screen, select the "select only my objects" option, and then in edit mode click and drag your mouse to make a huge select box around the whole area that your items sit in. On the General tab in your edit window it will tell you how many prims are selected good luck!

Or change the permissions on the items to 'no copy, transfer'.
eta: the previous post beat me to it.

Put your items on SLX and/or OnRez...they're free. Then maybe put a sign up saying gifts can be purchased from the sites.

HippoVend has a holovending module that is (at this time) a little limited for my tastes (I sell houses, and the limits of the rezzing don't allow this to be done well) but I bought a great plugin from Innes McLeod, Sirius Creations, that allows me to rez houses any distance from the vendor. As for the prim counting: your landlord may not have set it up correctly, or is not using the new networked prim counter. Either way, you should know how to count your own prims. Just do a wide highlight like Jacquelin said and you should be good to go.

I use Hippovend vendors, and I have one vendor that I use strictly for gift items. I use a special designation on the boxes with mod/transfer and make them active only on the gift vendor.
Good luck!
