That enables a group of people to talk to each other? With group chat malfunctioning and all the wonderful talent in sl, I am hoping someone thought of a way around this by offering something for sale that allows a large group of people to communicate with eachother outside side of sl's group chat via their own groups. I need something that can allow allot of members. I have a group of nearly 2K. Anyone heard of such a thing? Is it possible it can be created if it doesn't exist? Systems like hippo group and subscribe-o-matic only allow one way posting of messages. No interactive chat .

Not an in-world solution, but why not just run SL in a window, and have an AOL group chat session going at the same time? Just set up AOL acconts for each avatar.

I've seen "Walkie Talkie" systems that allow everyone tuned to the particular "Walkie Talkie" set to communicate with each other. I suppose you could conceivably add everyone in your groups manually to such a Walkie Talkie system. But that seems like a lot of work, and though I'm no tech expert, it has to be awfully lagtastic. (Thousands of people, with listening scripts, that transmit messages individually with to thousands of people, using softcode.)
I would think that any in-world system to handle interactive chat on mass-scale, using soft-code (scripting), would have to be too resource-intensive to be worthwhile.

You can highlight (with Ctrl) several members on your Friends list at once and then start an IM, and it will conference everybody.
