When you enable the 'Advanced-->Rendering-->Info Displays-->BBoxes display, you can see the physics engine bounding boxes around every object in the world. It's very cool, and takes up a tremendous amount of processing power!
Here's my question: as far as I can tell, the boxes come in four colors, roughly cyan, magenta, green, and orange. Does anyone know what the colors represent, functionally? If anything?
Sorry if this is a little obscure, but I don't know where else to ask!
Thanks.

There used to be a select beacons in that view. Now it's just anything scripted. But it's sound, particles, scripted and physics, I think, something like that. As to what one is which, I forget. You used to be able to highlight each one seperately and it said the colours. It maybe still an option, I haven't explored the beacons for a while.

Most of the views in that menu are obscure and outdated. I know the last post before me was completely unrelated to your question and sadly I don't have an answer either.
Good luck finding the answer, theres probably one or two lindens who can answer it.
