I sold group-deeded land for 10000 Lindens, expecting that the two members of the group who have the 'Pay group liabilities and receive group dividends' ability would receive 5000 each.
We have not got anything yet. Presumably the money will be distributed today.
HOWEVER ... I noticed something quite alarming ....
Under the 'Land & L$ > Planning' tab, I saw this ---

The next stipend day is 3/25/2008

Surely this is wrong!
Looks to me like the other 58 members (who do not contribute anything, and do not expect anything back) will get 161 Lindens each -- even though their 'Everyone' status specifically excludes them from a dividend.
What is going to happen?
Anyone know?

This is a 'Feature'
It always shows as if everyone gets a cut
The money gets to those flagged for payments only.
It happens in a batch process that generally starts after midnight SL time

If the do not pay liabablities is off for everyone except owners I don't think they get a cut.
I forgot how this was done but I was bit confused about this too.
Usually it takes 24 hours before you get paid.

Double check that only 2 members have that ability enabled. Some time ago, that got clicked for Everyone in every group aparently, regardless of how it was originally set up.

Essentially, the code that generates the Planning info predates the ability to switch off Receive Group Dividends, and therefore assumes that all group members will be paid. As long as the ability is disabled for most of them, you'll be fine.

That happened to me once, I couldnt take the chance so I booted everyone in the group except my best friend,
LOL for paranoia.
