When I say sim developer, I mean someone who comes in and does all the terraforming and building of structures, etc. Everything from soups to nuts :)

Who do you think it is ?

I'd like to say me too, in the future…

…but there is no way I could spend the time here to become that good. I would say there isn't a single developer who should get accredited but maybe there are brilliant teams of people out there

Well, I have to think of Caledon and Nerdagara Falls first.

If you go by how they do business, how much they are respected and how much they add to SL and the community, I have to go with Desmond Shang and Sarah Nerd. But I have the utmost respect for you, Steve, as well as Wildefire, Darien, Stephen, Incanus, Rockwell, Kandee, Sammy, Cristalle, and Lindal even though she's only on property #1. They are all making SL a better place. Hate to make lists like these because I always forget someone.

That's really humbling, Ray. Especially considering how lovely Liome is.

Honestly, the answer probably is Electric Sheep Co.

If you can get in touch with Veronica Duval....she hands down has one of the most beautiful sims here on SL.....landscaped to perfection with beautiful constructions...really is something to see...Her sim is private but she does take clients. Worth the trouble getting in touch with her

I toss my hat in for Caledon. Sometimes I go there just to walk around and walk around in awe. Amazing work. Desmond has created the best of what SL should be.

It isn't Desmond who builds the structures, though. Sims designed for letting, as far as I can see, don't really fall under the auspices of this thread. We would be talking about the Greenies, Straylight etc.

the person who did the places at grendels chilren, the unused sky areas and the ground below.

plain impressive scenery that doesn't start to slow down even after you add in a few hand fulls of avatars.

i Agree and debated whether to state Caledon for that reason. I chose to include it however because I think it's actually more impressive to have the leadership to have so many sims developed beautifully and within standards than to build a few by yourself. That's not to discount Greenies in any way though. I love Greenies. I've never been to Straylight, but I'll have to check it out.

Those are just the usual well known SIMs opened to the public, there are a lot of quality sims you'll never get to see because they are not listed in Search and they want to remain private.

For example !The City of Lond Ernil, Romenna (178, 147, 27) which was closed to public for a long time, but i think is now open for people to see......you'd be hard push to find much better if you appreciate archictecture!

Aw gee shucks guys... thanks :)

Though yeah, it's really the residents that pulled off Caledon.

I remember taking a month to texture a 350 prim house I made once. Caledon's got a third of a million prims. So it would have taken me 80 years just to texture the place, if left to my own devices :)

* * * * *

If I had to put in a vote... I'd say Neobokrug Elytis. Ever check out "The Wastelands" sims? Check out the Fissure &c. Some incredible salvage RP too.

We're talking the Nexus Prime crew here. Now involved with everything from "The Wastelands" sims to the I Am Legend stuff and beyond.

Id second the vote for Kaiya Manbi if you want landscaping and terraforming. She does some of the best naturalistic environments Ive seen in SL.

As far as structures go whoever did Kowloon gets a big vote from me, also the teams behind Nexus Prime and the Wastelands sims.

Ive commissioned quite a few sims over the last 18 months and Ive found that its best to get a team in - those who do terraforming/landscaping are often not the best to do structures.
