The kid signed up, with my permission, using my PayPal account as verification.
Now the name she signed up unde ris no longer available, which means the registration was recorded, but no confirmation email has come ...
How long does this usually take to complete, or should we start over?

Anybody have any ideas?
Or should I just let her on the adult grid?

I would definitely call LL in this case. I've heard of multiple teen grid signup problems... the more that they know there are problems, the more they can do something about it.

I've seen this problem before when making a alt. You can only have about 2 per email address i guess. It will deny you from making any more, then if you try again the name is no longer available. Not sure this is the same problem your having but it ends up the same way in the end.

I filed a bug report ... the email address had ZERO SL accounts attached to it, so that was not the issue.

If you are using a hotmail account, it might never have been received. Hotmail tends to count all emails from LL as spam.. and it doesn't even hit the junk mail folder.
But check your junk mail folders just in case, because other email sites might send it there.

From: Rhaorth Antonelli I use hotmail and never had a problem with getting emails from SL/LL I did off and on, even having them marked as safe. And when I created Trilliannas, it refused to allow me to use it for her, so I went with my backup account.

I just signed my son up with no problems, but I verified by using his cell phone number. You might try creating a new email account first, and then try signing up again.

Incidentally, the fact that the account name is no longer available doesn't mean the registration was completed. In fact, all that means is that registration was attempted.

This bug relates to using paypal to verify, from outside the US. A full explanation is given in the bug report showing it's not just about the email not being received.
Using a non-US mobile seems to be impossible...
