That sounds more like a partial disconnection. Make sure no AV is blocking SL, then turn off your computer. Unplug your router and modem for a few minutes. Connect it all up and turn on your computer.

Submit a ticket - I think that would be the way to go if you've tried resetting your connection. It helps if you are premium, but if not there is an inventory question available for basic accounts.
Checking the knowledge base can't hurt, either. _____________________

Help! Emergency! My Inventory is all messed up. Cannot wear or attach items. Cannot move items. Cannot send lmarks in im's. Anyone out there have a clue as to how to fix? When this happens to me, I check status before I panic. http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ if that isn't the problem, a relog, check my connection is the next step. Try also moving to a different area, (you can log into a different area by typing this in on the log in screen). Good luck _____________________

Inventory Messed Up, More Info
07-02-2009 22:37
Thanks all again. Done all that has been suggested. I have two other accounts that work perfectly. Just the Maia is a mess. Cannot copy paste within. Cannot give to anyone. Cannot wear attachables. On and on. Relogged, cleared cache, redid connections, uninstalled SL, reinstalled. Went to less laggy areas. All to no avail. I think finding out how to do an Inventory Rollback just might solve this. Yes, wrote a ticket asking for that. Thank you all for such prompt replies. You guys are what make SL worth all the hassles that come our way.

Once it's resolved post again to let us know what helped. You will be helping the next person with the problem if you do. Good luck.

One question: Do the some of your folders appear empty? Or duplicate?
If so, open a support ticket and let them do what they need to make it work.. unless you're a premium account, then you can use live chat. _____________________

Inventory Messed Up, the Fix
07-04-2009 02:51
I went and upgraded to Premium Account .. paid the 9.95
Checked in with Live Chat .. the Inventory was repaired in less than 10 minutes. They have a *tool* to do that. The guy who fixed it is Matthew something, no last name, but in Europe somewhere. He did a really good job. Thank you, Matthew *Something* and thank you all who replied to this. ![]() |
