Hey there I am kinda stuck on this. I made a couple of videos this weekend using the Start / Stop Movie to disk functionality. I've used the uncompressed mode. Trying to open it in VLC or WMP results in a black screen. I made the movies in full screen, means 1680 x 1050, maybe that's the problem. I know it makes not really sense to make them that large, but hey, it happened And another thing that crossed my way lately. Is for anyone CTRL-ALT-1 working? I've read somewhere this should hide the UI for the movie. But it does not do anything for me. Thx a lot in advance greetz A8

in static texture I believe 1024 the largest you can have but don't know if that applies to movies made. Might want to post in the Machina threads.

I ended up getting a copy of SnapzProX (Mac) and it works flawlessly. If you're on Windows, I'm not sure what the equivalent would be.

Fraps IS worth it! Love using it for other stuff too!
I'll be doing a GIMP tutorial video eventually. Nothing fancy. Just the basic "how to make a shirt" stuff.

I use Fraps also although I don't record audio within Fraps as files are to dang huge doing so.....I record audio with Audacity....My question is... what would be the best editor to use?! You can see my video's on YouTube (search: RPBIZZLE).

I personally use HyperCam.. it gives me the function of being able to select dynamically the screen area I want to grab and even move that capture window on the fly. I use uncompressed to grab footage so I have the best raw data to use in editing/rendering.
