I am trying to hold an event on my sim that is deeded to a group and none of that sim's parcels are showing up as options when I go to set the location. Any idea why? All my other groups' land shows us and the plots are larger than 512 meters.

I just went and checked to see if list events worked for me and, oddly, I have the option to list an event in Liome.

I knew giving Sideways those crab treats would pay off one day. *evil cackle*

How many parcels do you see listed in Liome? I have one but it's the wrong plot.

Yeah somehow setting that plot to myself for a week and then redeeding to group got it to show up. No such luck with the rest. What am I going to do with all this crab bisque? I made enough for 50 avatars...

Raymond, you must have a landmark in your inventory for the particular parcel. Check your landmarks.

Ok, but why? How will that help me with the parcel not showing up on the Events page? Wait are you saying I need to create a landmark there and it will show up?

The events page rifles through your landmarks to find appropriate land. If you do not have a landmark for the desired spot, you won't find it.

It always works for me, for my group land. Is the land deeded, or merely set to group? I need to go back and check what the rules are but since all my land is group owned, it is never a problem for me to find my landmarks.

Got it! I had not set a parcel landing point. Set one and it showed up instantly. Thanks for your help. This Resident Answers thing is great!

Wait a minute... Are you saying that people can use this forum to actually get answers to questions they could not figure out? And people answered those questions without going off topic?

This is totally false.

Where, then, pray tell, does the list of plots come from? Don't make the blanket statement without backing it up. If I provided misinformation, correct it.

You may post an event on a parcel if:
You personally own the parcel and it is at least 512 square meters in size.
The parcel is owned by a group that you are a member of, and is at least 512 square meters.
The parcel is in a private island that you are on the access list of, and is at least 512 square meters.
The parcel is set as a Linden place and to show in the Search.
The parcel belongs to a friend, it is set to show in Search Places as a Hangout, and is at least 512 square meters.
You have set the parcel Landing Point.

Events list by landing points, not by landmarks. But your suggestion led me to the correct answer so thanks again. Elanthius is just cranky because he does not tan evenly as his beer gut casts a large shadow.
