Here's a really odd SL glitch for you to try and get your heads round..
Last night I was working in closeup on some jewellery I was making. Everything was fine, no issues.
I logged back on about an hour ago and Macha seems to be stuck in the closeup camera view - permanently. You know how if you Alt+left click and zoom in on something, and try to use your keyboard arrows to walk around, the perspective is really peculiar and distorted? Well, now it's like that for me all the time.
Here are the things I've tried so far:
- Tried to reset view - Detached everything - Cleared cache and relogged. - Tried SL with an alt - same problem. - Reinstalled SL - Updated video card drivers - Restarted computer and tried SL again - same problem. - Unplugged the mouse and keyboard and graphics tablet (in case a key was jammed down somewhere) - Tried new keyboard and mouse
System specs are as follows:
Intel Core TM2 CPU RAM 2046MB 32 bit operating system (Vista) NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
Client is the latest available from LL.
Any ideas, folks? SL usually runs V.smoothly for me - I suppose it was about time something went horribly wrong!
Cheers,
Mac x

I don't know if this will fix your problem or not, but usually, to escape "mouse view" you can hit the esc key twice. You could try it and see if it fixes your cam in problem too.

you may have alread done this too... but I would start going through the advanced menus looking for something that is checked off that might not normally be checked off.

Yep, just been going through the Advanced menu looking for clues.... nada. I don't usually poke around in there to be honest, but I can't see anything obviously wrong..

Unless you actively take camera control yourself, the sim itself is the thing that controls what your camera is doing.
/me has also seen weirdness with the camera lately - starting this weekend, I think. I wonder if the new sim code messed with the camera stuff.
