After two months + in Second Life, this AM I go in and things are not what they ought to be. There are inch-wide black borders on either side of the screen, the tool bar at the top runs all the way to the top of the window, hiding Leopard's toolbar (never did that before), and what usually shows black when I click on my inventory now show dull gray. I'm on a Mac running Leopard. Up to now I have been able to move the SL screen to one side and move back and forth between Leopard and SL. Can't move the LS screen anymore. I wuld love to know how to fix this. But even more, I would love to know why these things happen to me. Do I need a psychoanalyst or a shaman? Or just you great guys on the forum?
Eli Schlegal suggested to me that I join a Forum group just to meet and laugh. How do I do that? Laughing never goes wrong.

What kind of graphics card? And maybe a few more specifics about your system. There is a Technical sub-forum here also that you can try. I wonder if by change you've gone into fullscreen mode. I do that from time to time by accidently hitting option-enter instead of command-enter. Drives me crazy. Select "toggle fullscreen" form the view menu an see if that does it. I believe there is also a "restore default" up there, too. Worth trying. When my machine got too slow/the HD too full to handle SL any more I bought a new one.
Sounds like yours is creaking along while running SL. It's a system hog.
Can you increase RAM at least? Might help.
