Oh well, I figured I should put this here too, since resident's know best.
To put a long story short, I recently acquired a GTX280 and after that I have been receiving "Second Life is unable to run because your video card drivers are out of date or unsupported. Please make sure you have the latests video card drivers ..." errors.
Is there a work around to this ? I've heard of such a thing as "--noprobe" but that hasn't worked for me, or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
Any helping hands ? Please ? I'm desperate, and yes I've tried Jira numerous times already.
Another thing that is puzzling is that I've seen other people use GTX280's on SL with no problems at all.

Join the legion of other people suffering from this bug. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957There is what might be loosely termed a workaround discussed towards the end of the comments. Per Chalice Yao: "A temporary fix is to enable the advanced menu with ctrl+alt+shift+d In the advanced menu, disable: advanced -> rendering -> features -> palletized textures This is only a temporary fix, as it reverts on each login." If you are affected by this bug then that jira entry would be the best place to stay informed for when a fix is found.

Oh I forgot to add, my client doesn't start up at all, it crashes on startup with the error that I described above. But thanks, I'll keep watching that link closely.
