Unless it has been updated recently it is on a very old code base. I used it in the past, not to bad a viewer but the newer LL viewers is far superior IMHO.

 I'm on the "gold" version of the client...the latest and greatest, and I'm giving up. I can't take anymore crashes, and hopefully the lag will improve too. _____________________

I checked their site just a few days ago, and they still were on 1.19 code base, with no mention of the latest security patches. It looks rather as if they abandoned development when CSI wrapped up.

Well, I went to Nicholaz' site, but he doesn't actually have the SL clients on there. Just his code that goes on top of it. I don't know what else to do.

As far as I know, Electric Sheep has very little to do with SL anymore these days. It's been a while since I've talked to anyone over there, but I'm pretty sure they're concentrating on WebFlock, and little else. I doubt they're expending much, if anything, in the way of resources to keep the OnRez viewer current.

I refuse to use it ever since the CSI thing, when I asked them if anyone other than LL would have access to our passwords via using this viewer and they refused to answer, and refused to give me a contact who could or would answer

He has links to all the old LL Viewrs. it's in the text on the blog. I still couldn't see them (there's an 8 month old baby in my lap...boy I hope her mommy gets her soon!). But I did find the link to Cool Boy's and it's downloading now. _____________________

I still couldn't see them (there's an 8 month old baby in my lap...boy I hope her mommy gets her soon!). But I did find the link to Cool Boy's and it's downloading now. If you go to the "Version Overview" Page, then link to the specific viewer description you will see a link in the text. For example, here is the Bleeding Edge (BEw) page. http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/2008/05/release-bleeding-edge-be-w.html But try the Cool Viewer. I switched over to the 1.19.5 from the Nicholaz BEw and find the Cool Viewer runs a bit better. |

I have to have voice. That BE viewer gets loaded over a copy of SL doesn't it? is that viewer in the package? Yes. The BE has Voice, it is the 18.5 viewer. It doesn't have Windlight. The Old School is 18.0 and has neither Voice or Windlight. The Cool Viewer 19.5 has Voice but no Windlight. |

I got the CB 1.21. I don't see voice yet, but maybe I need to set it up. It's there. All viewers after 18.0 are voice ready, as far as I know. |
