Luna Oaks and Busy Ben's - isn't it about time?

So in March, the current spaces in Luna Oaks and Busy Ben's were passed out via lottery. Residents took their spaces on April 15th for a six month stay.

Doesn't that mean it's about time for the next lottery? Did anyone hear anything?

You know, back when I was still trying to sell clothes, furniture and stuff, I tried several times to get space on one of those silly lotteries...

And yet...

I honestly can't say I ever went to either retail site and actually *bought* anything!

Do any of the people who have space there get any better sales than anywhere eles in SL? Somehow, I kind of doubt it.

Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

I've been to both and looked at both. I've not found anything I was compelled to buy. Then again, I can be both a picky buyer an not the sort for whom a lot of products "fit" well.

I think that, if there is a greater push for mainland, then it can make these spaces more relevant. I certainly see a fair number of people at both when I go by. I do suspect, though, that traffic at Luna Oaks has been impacted by damaged content (yes, it's one of my issues again!). The Dore to Luna trolly -- which feeds into the mall from two infohubs -- has been borked for some time.

I had totally forgotten about those :-S
-I guess that answers Ceera's question on my part.

Word of mouth and other "long distance exposure" is much more important in SL, where it's faster to teleport straight to a shop in another sim than to walk across the one you're in.

I had a small Kiosk space for several months at Luna Oaks, put a vendor there, never sold a thing.

I had a slot at Luna for a while, but it wasn't a big seller. It had a "wave" every now and that, but that was it. The problem is, Linden-owned or not, it's a mall that doesn't do anything to attract traffic.

I won a spot there. I did sell a dingy last week and I have given at least a thousand free watches from a giver prim. (Along with landmarks, I must add.)
So there are a lot of newbies who will be on time for their next appointment and who might just drop into my store in the future.

Yes, it's time... Soon.
