In the sim next door to me, someone has set up a little advertising/camping spot - L$5 for 60 Minutes!!! But you can go down, once a day, click the big pink button, and get L$1 free. So, every morning, I wander down, and collect my free L$1. Takes two minutes. I am really sad, right, but if it's there for the taking. What would someone possibly have to gain from setting up something like this, particularly when there is nothing advertised, and you can't really see the ads for the Hippopay/money cube stuff, etc, all over the place?

Secondly, rental prices. My most expensive unit is L$500/week for a 1344 plot with nice house with all the usual stuff and 300 prims for the tenant's own use. Then, my neighbour carves out a couple of rental units, but she is asking L$1,000/week for a 1024 plot and 230 prims. Who's will rent first? Knowing my luck, her's probably. Will people pay this much??

/me makes mental note to place freebie hot tub in garden of all rental units.

Some people, myself included, put a lot out for new residents. Almost every one that I come in contact with gets a free avatar, some clothes, real shoes, hair, the New Resident help files, and a few bucks. It's my little way of contributing to the greater good. I'm sure this is her way, although she probably hasn't realized (or doesn't care) that it's not just new residents getting her money.
