I have had a very active and enjoyable 18 months in Second Life so far and find I am spending as much time hooked up now as I did at the start. Too much time possibly!
I've built lots of stuff, I sell a few things, got my home how I want it, I go out clubbing and exploring. To me SL still seems so infinite and open-ended that I find myself needing to make choices about how much time I allow myself to be controlled from RL!
In short, I want to give a bit more structure to my Second Life - do others feel the same? Do you find you need to ration your time in-world?

No for me as well. I've figured out what i want from it. I'm only on when I want to be, be it it a half hour or several hours, be it every day, or once a week.

My housemate takes 2 days off-world each week. She's allowed to blog or do other things, but no SL. She often trades her two days around to make room for Hostessing gigs or whatever... but her partner (in RL) is fairly strict about keeping her to her goal of 2 days per week.
