Why am I having a problem subdividing the land into the popular choices of 512, 1024, 3072 etc...? Is there an easy way to do this that I am missing? Or is it just hit and miss? I select the land then stop at what I think is the correct size then it tells me what it actually is and i start over and over. Please help me figure this out!

Hi Thouchy!
When you use the "edit Terrain" menu. And drag the size you want. You need to click "Subdivide" in the "Edit" window. then you will be subdivided. Typical 512's are: 8 x 4.
1024's: 8 x8.. and so on.
