Public Groups on FOrum?

I was looking at a forum-er's profile here, and notied it said 'NAMEHERE is not a member of any public groups'
What are these groups, and how are they found? Or are they just in-world groups with some special box checked?

I have no idea. I don't see anything in the User CP to explain it. Then again, my eyes are melting, so that may be an issue...

It's a v-bulletin feature that allows you to make customizable,joinable groups on your forums. They just don't use it here.

A looooooooooooooong while ago, each "Group" in Second Life would be given a forum if it got big enough.
