for some reason noone can see my dot or hear me, and i cannot hear them, but i DO have voice on, and I DO have a dot floating over me, but noone can see it, iv tried all kinds of things but i cant connect with THEM, it says iv connected to the voice server tho, im so confused plz help me

Ok i have had the same problem for ages , since they introduced voice. How i solved it.... 1) Made sure my mic worked!! The first one i bought was broken lol. 2) Knowing the mic worked fine on my pc, SL talk button was still faded out and i couldn't see dots on me or anyone else. How i solved this was i turned my firewall off to check to see if this was affecting it and yes once turned off voice worked fine. Even tho my firewall was allowing SL voice access it still wasn't working for some reason, so not being very techincal and not wanting to fiddle with opening ports etc. I got a different firewall and it works fine now  Hope this helps!! |
