Is there a way to block people from camming?

I'm currently in an apartment. My significant other and I were fooling around, when suddenly we get messages from some other people. They apparently were camming through the apartments and decided to be voyers. A friend of mine said he thought there was some sort of HUD that can block this, but I haven't seen it. Does anyone know of anything that could keep prying eyes out of my apartment?

Nope, short of buying your own island there is no way to keep people from camming in.

4000m up and beyond their viewing distance (how much they load around them.) Teleporting is to one spot on the ground and no inner point to point porting works. Takes ages if anyone is going to fly up to have a look.

Phantom objects as "bed covers"?

I think it's kinda fun to have an audience. Adds an extra dimension, like performing seals in circuses.
Seriously, I wouldnt worry. You should try a free sex sim - eyes everywhere! Lol!

Yes, buy your own sim, make sure you have it setup so that it's not viewable from other sims, create an access list and only let you and whoever else you want allowed into the sim. If one cannot teleport there, they cannot cam in.

I'm going to partially agree with you in the sense that I've come to not care if someone is peeping as I have a good time. but, they should maintain their distance. It's one thing to be in a sex club or other public play area, but too many times, voyeurs seem to want to get in on the act.

I agree with you, but funny you say they wanna get in on the act, coz sometimes, it kinda makes that quick turn for the climactic moment all that bit the better when a stranger joins in.

How often is that stranger really worth brining in? Not often in my experience.

You're quite right. Too many times the reality never fulfils the promise. I'll never forget I once had a silent swiss bloke who spent hours (its seems) while I teased him on. Hal was waiting for me and I was making up endless excuses on IM. I hate leaving a bloke high and dry as it were.

Except for Hal?

The "silent" types deserve to be left high and dry.

If you surround your entire skybox with a megaprim set as an invisiprim. It's pretty hard to cam in to see you if they can't anchor their camera to any prim besides the invisiprim. Well, they could see all of your attachments which would be kind of funny but they wouldn't see you. Provided you are in a skybox of course.

Emerald has a viewing distance of 1km. More if you know how to bypass draw distance limits using Emerald or debug settings.

And it only takes a second to sit on a prim and edit it up as high as you care to. Also, there are all sorts of flight aids that will make the trip short.

Not that I'd go to that much trouble, but SL is a goldfish bowl. If someone decides they're going to look, they're going to look.

I think Advanced.. Rendering..Hide Selected causes the invisiprim to cease thus to function.

Poor Hal fancy keeping someone you say in another thread waiting over some stranger . Oh well maybe Hal will learn but on the topic, Mute the ones perving ban them so they cant enter than focus on each other

Similar to what Bree said - you could also just surround yourselves with an invisiprim (just a large box or sphere or more than one, set to transparent) which would make their camera bounce off. It wouldn't prevent completely but it would add a bit of frustration, at least.

Also, perhaps report them for harassment for the IM telling you so.

That or use the "derender" option in Emerald. I think it does the same thing.

I love using that on people that use those "inspection protection" shields. It makes it really easy to get to all their attachments, and then you have the option to IM them the shop they got all their stuff at. :D

Again I think a log of the session in question would be beneficial in determing the best solution. I'm just saying!
