secondlife.com logins down?

I just tried to log in on a different computer and keep getting redirected to secondlife.com/status and thence to status.secondlifegrid.net.

There's no problem with my current session, that I can tell, but I can't set up a new session.

Nothing on status.secondlifegrid.net to indicate a problem.

Anyone else? Or will we ever know, because you can't log on to tell us about it?

logins disabled by LL because to many online. This is getting old

Same happened to me just a few mins ago but it seems the login page is up again now.

I made it in-world, but am standing in a crowd of confused people who aren't where they wanna be and can't TP out *sigh*

*peers at the grid status blog* Wow, makes me glad that I'm offline doing color waves of a gown set.

I almost wish they had the Wednesday downtime for the whole grid....

Well, that's a really nice diagnostic. Shouldn't the website redirect to a page that actually tells you something useful, yesno?

Interesting is says that was posted at 3:35pm PST... I live in PST and it is only 2:50pm.. Me think LL has lots and lots of work to do..... Glad my company isn't having in world business meetings today. heh....

I think there is two servers that handle the grid status page.. and one's not refreshing properly?

I got to the status page from a couple of pages in the site a few minutes. Now I've got every page I want, so it looks like it's fixed.

That wasn't there until after they got logins working again. Look at the posted time and when I posted my message.

If logins are disabled, the login script should recieve that information from the login server and either display that information or redirect you to a static page saying "logins are disabled", not redirect you to a stale akamaized cache of a blog page that's not updated until several minutes after the fact?

The main page has similar issues. If you refresh the currently online numbers change from one number to the next, then refresh and they go back to first number. Things are not in sync for sure.

I don't see this at all, I see an update about rolling restarts and planned voice maintenance. Then again I haven't had trouble logging in either!

There are caching proxies (at least, that's what it looks like from the occasional Squid error messages I've seen) in front of many SL webservers, and the caches are often significantly out of date.

I had to hit refresh a few times to get it. It has probably already been updated but I don't see the update yet. heh..
