dunno where the best place is to put this.... but i wish that LL would send a pop up to let us know when they have blocked logins due to problems... its really annoying when u reboot, only to find that logins are blocked

subscribe to the RSS feed on the grid status page and then install a desktop alert system to do a popup when status reports are posted
They pretty much stopped doing in world messages to the grid about a year or so ago.. only time they do one is if it is important that everyone stops transactions etc. http://www.mioplanet.com/solutions/customdesktopalert/index.htm It sux i know. And they are slow as molasses on posting on the grid status page. So even still could be a gamble _____________________

I'M sure LL holds that answer. I know its a pain in the arse all the time so I have taken steps to keep my self instantly informed of grid status changes. the tools have been provided for us to use. Might as well take advantage of it _____________________

If you happen to use Twitter, you can follow slgridstatus there. It's pretty prompt, sometimes quicker to update than the status blog.

I got an inworld notice when they didn't let people log in. It was the popup like when you buy something :3 and then they sent another when it was back to normal :3
