No trick or treaters here, the kids have to go to the mall, poor things. (ETA the kids in this city)
Learned the hard way to avoid there - it's a madhouse. Done all the Hween things to do before and staying in this year. As for SL I went to a couple clubs, not only didn't win any contests but no one knew who costume was, oh well. I have tons of costumes, but I like this one best, so I wore it. Feel free to post fun things to do in SL Hween. |

Happy Halloween 2008!

After i've got my halloween baggy by TrickOrTreat Linden she came over to my land and i had the chance for some nice pics. She was pretty much than silence (no wonder her mouth is sewn up!) and she seems to been busy sending her bags around the grid.
So i made my pics and she went her way. (I'm the pumpkin head *lol*) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then some later i've made a ghost vehicle that is so much fun to ride! I cant explain..you have to see! Come over and take one for free! http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kaseyo/12/64/66 Its a sculpted ghost, 1 prim as a vehicle to ride or remote control! For FREE! Happy Halloween =) _____________________

Not a single knock on the door at my RL house. Wow. In SL, I logged on to a tricked out house: Daros was up until 3am installing ghosts, spider webs, an enormous spooky tree piercing the whole house, gravestones, mist, ghost orbs, pumpkins... it looked awesome. Then we got into the NPIRL Hallowe'en party and danced the night away on their 'dancefloor-in-space' and then in the trippiest moving texture orb ever, to three hours of fantastic (loud) heavy trance music. My neighbours probably hate me

You bunch of halloweeners!
In Real: I had 8 children whose parents phoned ahead so I could open the gate for them. A Goth, a Viking, a Doorknob, a Daisy, two nuns, and a bull and a cow. They got Crunchie Bars each and a "free dip" in a prize bucket. That was a record crowd coz usually I have no one visit me. I dressed up as Miss Haversham but the kids didnt get it. they thought I was the Runaway Bride. In SL: Banlines are up. _____________________

I went out RL for a while to watch my nephew play a gig (rock/indie band), went down well with couple of beers, had loads of kids round earlier dressed as witches and ghouls. Back later and onto SL where I spent an hour or so talking to some girl with a pumpkin for a head. Surreal huh? Lovely figure though!

I collapsed in a heap last night, after our usual neighborhood celebration. Each year, we light a huge bonfire in the nearby neighborhood park, and folks come from far and near to enjoy the light and warmth of the fire, drink cider and eat ginger snaps; the children pick up glow rings to wear during their "trick or treating" expeditions.
I've said it before, but I believe I must live in Kid Central. I think I had about....500 children stop at my house last night. I gave up trying to count around 7:30 pm; basing my estimate on my remaining candy supply. ![]() Anyway it was a great night!! The children's costumes were fun to look at, and it was a great night to catch up with neighborhood friends. ![]() |

Well, Halloween in RL, it was pretty boring. We expected 70 to 100 kids to come by. There were probably only... maybe... 5. So good news is we have a bunch of candy to ourselves and we didn't even go trick-or-treating!
In Second Life, I was a witch for Halloween. I used two different witch outfits, a witch hat (that didn't come with the outfit), a witch bear from Deviant Kitten, and a wand. I went to a couple different costume contests. Won 500 on one. Nothing on the other, but the Sploder paid out! I got about 4 or 500 Linden from that. And I also got the gift from TrickorTreat Linden. Haven't opened it yet, but the expectations are great, since everyone likes the Linden Bears! I used to BAH humbug Halloween......BUT...Ive mellowed...and now LOVE it Real life...I dressed in a black robe from nose to toe...Spooky mask...and stood on neighbours front lawns...for...AGES...until someone showed up, usually gaggles of not so small children (thought I might scare the living daylights out of the little ones) then LEAPT at them as they passed...I almost choked laughing each time..im easily amused ![]() Hmm, where do you live? Cause I had someone doing that all night last night. Annoyed the kiddies and a couple parents complained to them. |

As an adult, Halloween has never been one of my favorite holidays. When I was married, our yearly tradition was to turn all the lights out at home and go to the movies for the evening.
After I was divorced, I purchased some candy in case there were trick-or-treaters - I lived downtown, 1 mile outside the city proper (ie. not the suburbs) so I think I got one or two children whose parents pulled up in their car so the kids could come to my door. After selling my house, I've never had trick-or-treaters in any of the apartments in which I've lived, including last night. (One complex I lived in had a nice idea I thought - they gave out tags to put on the door if someone was giving out candy there.) ~ ~ ~ In SL - I've been in a prolonged "blah" mood, so came in world in the morning/afternoon, dressed up in an Autumny looking outfit (got a compliment on it while I was out so that lifted my spirits a bit), and did 4 hours of the Grid wide Halloween hunt. Came back on in the evening and had a fight with my Partner. _____________________

I accidentally overlooked Halloween this year. No kids living with me for the first time so no reminders. I did hear some Addams Family and Monster Mash music outside but I thought it was folks warming up for the next day when Halloween arrived. No one came to the door.
The Second Life viewer's alt zooming problems occupied my attention unpleasantly in-world. I also thought the Halloween related chat inworld was warm-up for the next day when Halloween arrived. SL avatars are so weird looking anyway it's hard to tell when they put on costumes. _____________________

If you dont know what to do with your pumpkin... ![]() hahaha this just reassures me that men will try and see if anything will float with them in it at any age.. i could not count the times my little brother and his friends sank rafts and drums tied together and anything they thought would make a boat to hold them up in our pond... we had a boat already.they just wanted to make their own i guess. _____________________
