How to tell how many prims in an object

I know this is probably a silly question, but other than rezzing an object and deducting the number of prims on the parcel showing from the original amount before rezzing the object, is there a way to tell how many prims there are in a object while in inventory? Some items have the number of prims listed in their description, but most do not. I've tried looking in the knowledge base and the forums, but I don't see this information anywhere.

Thanks,
Tish Noel

Go into edit mode and select the object. On the first tab of the edit window it says how prims it contains.

Based on these pictures, I'm giving you a 9.1 - which is a VERY strong start for your first submission (heh - I said "submission";). You are a slut, but in the most positive, sexy way. Congratulations and shame on you!

Edit the object, and on the front page of the edit window, it will list the number of prims in the linkset. You can do that for anyone's objects. It's a good idea to check the number in objects you want to buy to see if you've got room on your land or not.

No idea about the inventory thing, but.. when you rez something you don't have to look at the number of prims on the parcel.. Just right-click and choose "edit", the number of prims the object consists of will be displayed on the general tab.

As said above there is no way to get the prim cound while an tem is in inventory.
One way would be to find a nice sandbox, and rez the item there to check, another would be to open your edit window and click on a stores disply model, if they have one.

I actually posted about this long ago in the suggestions forum, to have the prim count added to an objects properties in inventory but never happened.

Yeah, I wish I could see the number of prims an item had before I rezzed it. There are a lot of my older dresses that were literal prim whores and since I occasionally need to rezz one.. >.> <.<

I'd love this as a feature. Whenever I rez anything I edit its name to include the prim count if I can. I'd also like it if you could find out animation priorities in properties.
