male avatar nose building

I'd recently noticed something on my avatar that's probably been there all along unnoticed. My avatar nose being of a certain size shape looks great from some angles, but from others the bridge has some very strange "shade" lines that are actually larger than my nose itself. It looks like the background of a template or something that would be used for nose creation. I'm not certain there's a fix other than making my nose bigger, just wishing I didnt have to.

save your shape first and then try this

Make the "Nose Tip" a value of 0.

then redo your nose.

The tip is an awkwardly shaped deal. And that helps sometimes.

I'm just happy you didnt go with "male avatar nose picking" as a thread title. :D

Why did I think of Michael Jackson when I saw the thread title?

Hehheh, that's a lot more work than the term "building" will cover I think. :)

Aargh! Girls...we might have this nose problem too - has anyone checked? I have quite a large, graceful aquiline nose. I hope it's still like that.

We have prim nails, prim eyelashes, prim...um, bits...why not prim noses? After all, the furries got 'em.

The higher detail and clarity of prims, compared to the avatar mesh, can't be beat.

I can see a couple of drawbacks, though.

- /me puts on her Jackie O fashionable sunglasses and squeals in embarrassment as her nose, deprived of its attachment point, flees into her inventory.

- A prim nose would almost certainly be a sculpty. Last night, I wore my sculpty parts for maybe five minutes before the UV maps loaded and turned them from spheres into shoes. I'm not sure I want to go out in public with a Bozo The Clown nose...

My, you DO have a glorious nose. A schnoz of surperior grandeur and elegance. So much better than that button-on-the-end-of-a-stick I ended up with. :p
