SL(R) in the last 6 Months - A Summary Please

I have not been keeping up with SL(R) this past 6 months.
What's been going on? The blog is awfully long, and some of it is not so major.
What has happened in the past 6 months that is big mews (besides the Braning stuff which I just read about)

- casinos got banned
- fake banks and things like that got banned
- windlight makes water and skies pretty, makes avatars ugly
- LL will be hiring a new CEO, Phillip is gonna stay on the board of directors
- stuff is still generally broken

The latest RC has weird issues.
The normal viewer has weird issues
Since you've been gone, the entire grid has gone down approx 348 million times
tp's usually don't work
If you buy stuff, you have a 46.2% chance of not getting it.
Everyone still loves SL, the above issues notwithstanding
