I lost all my stuff when I clicked "Return"

I wanted to clear all my land off and start over. Instead of picking everything up individually, I just hit Return on my land and it cleared the whole lot.
BUT NOW...everything is missing! Doesn't it just automatically go back into your own inventory when you were the owner of it? Everything I returned is gone from my inventory. I can't find my kitchen, my furniture, my table and chairs..nothing. I've checked all the folders, sub-folders, trash, ojects, lost and found.
I've rebooted SL to see if maybe it was a glitch and nothings worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Honey Have you tried using inventory search to be sure? Sometimes there are delays in your stuff coming back to you, so I wouldn't panic just yet. I've had some things take as much as 24 hrs to return to me in the past! Edit to add: many objects may have been 'grouped' together as one item in your lost and found, and so you would not see the names of those objects if that is the case. If you have 'grouped' objects in your lost and found, try rezzing them. Hope all your stuff finds its way home soon Honey. |

Look in your Lost and Found. When this happens, all returned objects are clustered into a single prim (which icon look different than the usual single object prim) re-rez that object and you will likely find most of your lost objects.

What Dave's talking about is what's called "coalescing." All your objects have been mashed into one big collection that will look like a bunch of building blocks together, rather than one individual block in your inventory. Check Lost and Found as well as Objects.

Oh, I was LIVID and at the time they hadn't yet introduced the special coalesced item icon, so I only accidentally found out days later where my stuff went-tried rezzing the tea glass and FWOOOMP! The parcel was full......
