Christmas is coming and I have a man who would prefer to build than to be dragged around the shops. All the clothing I see is no transfer. Are there any shops where I can buy clothes that I can transfer to him? (put it on a box for him?).

another option:
when you see a cute outfit, look up the creator on slx. if you buy the outfit on slx you can 'buy as gift'. Most of Fo:rm's stuff is transferable, with the exception of a very few tattoos I think.

All of Black Moon's clothing is transferable. It is in the dramatic style, rather than casual. Men's clothing is on the 2nd floor. Try Dark Touch or Ambassador, both very handsome.

The first time I encountered NON-TRANSFERRABE, I bought a beautiful beach wrap (3-piece) for a lovely lady (without reading the advertised disclaimer) and to this day it sits in my inventory.
Many of the owners are hard to reach, some don't want to deal with it, and others still did not think about giving us the option to 'buy as a gift.' I am not sure what the reasoning is in making an item non-transferable, but I suppose to prevent someone from re-selling it. I can foresee many headaches this season for both buyer and seller due to the fact that many noobs (like me) didn't read or understand what NON-TRANSFERRABLE means. About the only thing I could suggest is to go and pre-shop (window-shop) and collect the landmarks to the places you wish to purchase gifts from. Wait until he is in the mood to be taken on a whirlwind tour of the shops. Hand him the money, and let him buy the item when you get there. Unless you want to completely re-make the man with an extensive wardrobe, he shouldn't mind a half of an hour out of his busy schedule. I am a guy who had this experience...it was quick and enjoyable. A hint about us guys... we don't mind shopping, but we like to go, get what we want or need, and leave. Most of us prefer a romantic stroll in a park, not in a department store. I hope that helps...Peace. _____________________

Yeah! Shopping!

OK, shopping!! A topic I can relate too. The first thing I do when I want to shop for something specific is go to
http://www.slexchange.com Select clothing and then mens fashion and shop until your hearts content. When I buy a gift for someone I usually make sure where both in world and do NOT have your busy/AFK sign up. Ask your man when he's ready and buy it as a gift, you put his name into the receiptants box and the item is sent to him directly. Then just sit back and wait for your kiss from him! Good Luck, JulieAnne |

Thanks for the great information guys! I have used boxes and put under the tree with the item in it. It looks so nice. I do get kisses for my taste in clothes for him...jeans, leather and nice shirts. Now I have to go and build with him. Hope I don't delete the sky platform like the last time

Buying as a gift from SLX seems like the easiest way to go.
All the clothes in my shop are copyable but not transferable - because I think most people want to make back-up copies and I don't want them re-selling my stuff. But if someone IM's me I'll always put anything of mine into a gift box and give it to a gift recipient with a note from the giver. Or sell them a transferable non-copy version. _____________________

I only do female clothes but as a designer I say contact a designer if the item is no transfer, they might be willing to do other preferences for you
(I know I would and have done specific requests for ppl) _____________________
