I've been spammed by someone that is (I think) called DoTheMario Republic. More that spam it's a denial of service type attack.

First my screen filled up with me shouting I AM A MEMBER OF THE PATRIOTIC NIGRAS, YOU LINDEN CAN SUCK MY ****** ****, YIFF IN HELL FUR FAGS

(I'll upload the screenshot in a bit)

Now I've got a gazillion requests to animate my Avatar by the aformentioned person.

ANy ideas as to what to do?

*does a quick rendition of the 'Avoid Naming Names in the Forum' dance*

This was posted earlier about that griefer group and their possible plans for the weekend:

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Same thing on Loepa. I was able to TP to another sim but I'm still clicking no to the animate requests. There are about 1000 or so giant balls flashing red and blue surrounding Oryx's and my land. None of them are acutally on our plots though. And the Object Names are all the names of people who were on or around the sim at the time they appeared.

Mainland's being hit hard. Some sims going down too, it seems.

Let's see what the response is.

Edit: Scratch that, the sims going down have nothing to do with a griefer attack. It's a good sized region restart. http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/11/16/two-thousand-regions-restarting-shortly/

Heh, normal operations show how piddly organised griefing can be, by comparison.

I couldn't stop the flood of animation requests by shutting down SL clicking on the 'X' of app's window, nor by using the task manager. But it worked when I seleted Quit from the menu.

In any event, this what happened...

When you get a chat spam like that, it helps some to click on the History button that appeaqrs when you activate the chat line. All that text gets put in a window you can minimize.

I've had to restart at least 6 times today and abandon the area I was just today, from the griefing attacks.

The rolling restarts don't fill the screen with racist homophobic statements. A rolling restart happens at a spot and gets over with at that spot quickly.

These griefing attacks have gone on and on for months now.

Rolling restarts don't cause me a bit of a problem.

The griefing attacks are depressing.
