When I had logged in yesterday my skin had not loaded only my head loaded, my cloths and everything was fine and everything around me, I had try to relog still nothing, and even clear the cache. but when I had logged in today I still have the same problem. And people are seeing me the same way I'm seeing myself, just my head skin is loaded. the rest of me is white. Has Anyone out there had this problem, or have any ideas.

It would help to know what you're running on....system specs, graphics card.....sounds like the on-going issue that exists with certain nVidia drivers. Had changed your skin? You can try going into advanced.....rendering.....disable palletized textures. And then rebake.......if it's that nVidia issue....that would probably fix it.

Sorry nope it did not work. I also have a laptop. When I logged on it was the same problem, and my laptop does not have nVidia drivers.

I'm quite tired of this issue: on my nvidia quadro FX360M when i login, my skin is covered by random portions of my screen, including other windows (msn, firefox, etc)... this is REALLY annoying... i don't want other people to see my email account or whatever....

As am I... frankly I can update fdrivers rollthem back and still the same issues persist... shoe color runs up legs head skin texture is darker than body... everytime I log I have to disabel pallatized and rebake.. then of course crash.. and do it all over again.. usually after 3 crashes I can stay online...

What is it you think that one of the more popular video cards on the market, and apparently a lot of us have them runs SL so poorly??? If I were a new player to SL and were experiencing this no way would I logback in you know? Since I have a goodly amount of money invested and time... I like a mouse to a block of cheese in the trap keep trying not to get my head snatched in the vice grip of the trap..... "SNAP"

For the nVidia avatar skin problems, you might try nVidia driver 175.19.

The Release candidate viewer does away with palletized textures, so if that's the cause of this problem, it may be history soon.

Is this one of the problems that rebaking cures?

Advanced menu (PC - Ctrl-Alt-D or Mac - Opt-Ctrl-D) > character > rebake textures.
