Has anyone else been billed early for private islands this month?
I usually transfer Lindens to My US balance the same day the island is billed. Sometimes I have to adjust my sell offers to get Dollars quicker. I guess I cut things to close, because this month LL pushed 3 of my islands billing dates up 2 days and they billed my CC instead.
From My point of view it looks like LL wanted my cash and not my Lindens this month.
Has this happened to anyone else this month?
TIA Alisha

I've had billing dates move around a bit like that, but so far as I know it's because they were late to bill me a few times, then caught up.
In one case billing actually *skipped* and didn't bill one of my regions, and I *called* them (how many of you would do THAT!) and it was sorted out next month, if I recall correctly. This was about the time of the big 'billing glitch' in May. There wasn't a lot of angst about it on the forums, because few waxed indignant about paying late... grin
So I don't know if this sheds any light on your situation, but yes, billing dates seem to float around a bit sometimes.
Call billing, see what's going on with them directly. I'd recommend talking to Patsy if you can; she's very helpful.

My billing date changed for 2 or 3 months - later than normal. But, like Desmond's, it eventually changed back.

From: Desmond Shang In one case billing actually *skipped* and didn't bill one of my regions, and I *called* them (how many of you would do THAT!) I bought a tax disc (license to use the car on the road - cost about £125/$250) a few years ago. Then I went to the supermakert, and while I was at the checkout I realised that I had a lot more money than expected. So I went back to where I got the tax disc from, told them that I'd taken it for a test run and it seems ok, it's a nice color and shape, so I think I'll take it. They gave me a very puzzled looks, until I explained. (How many of you you would do THAT!)

I've been billed up to 5 days late before now but never early. Bit worrying if they suddenly start biliing randomly as i would rather leave L$ up for sale at a good price on the off chance rather than sat on the website in USD doing nothing.

From: Porky Gorky Bit worrying if they suddenly start biliing randomly as i would That is NOT the sort of thing a company hoping to woo corporate clients should be doing. That sort of erratic conduct, where money is concerned, is a real red flag.

Phil I think you should have asked for a different tax disc, because this one wasn't as responsive in the corners and seemed to have a slight hesitation off the line... From: Porky Gorky I've been billed up to 5 days late before now but never early. Bit worrying if they suddenly start biliing randomly as i would rather leave L$ up for sale at a good price on the off chance rather than sat on the website in USD doing nothing. I'd considered this as well... but don't, because USD credit is USD credit, and if there was ever a 'Wall Street' style collapse on the LindeX, I'd be on the safe side of the street until it sorted itself out. Funny thing about collapses and market panics and suchlike is that they are generally kind of unpredictable, except in the Warren Buffet you-really-shouldn't-do-that-or-it-will-someday-burst sort of sense. I've got plenty of exposure as it is, taking $L for payment as I do.

OK. I am glad that I am not alone one this one. I will have to make a habit of watching my US balance more closely.
Thanks for the comments everyone! =)
