There is a 512 owned by Gov Linden on the sim where my home is. It has an action number on the parcel when you look at the land description, but it is not listed on the auction page. Is this a parcel that will be coming up on the auction block and just hasn't been listed yet? Or is there someplace different I need to look to bid on it?

I think it'll be coming up, but I have no idea how long the backlog. I've been trying to watch for listing of a few parcels, myself, for a week or so. (There's really a lot of purple on the map these days! Who needs new sims when vast swathes of existing mainland have auction numbers assigned?) |

Create a support ticket. As a neighbor of a parcel that size, you may get a chance at it without it having to go to auction. I believe Nimue Jewell tried this once. PM her here with any questions. She is always most helpful.

As a neighbor of a parcel that size, you may get a chance at it without it having to go to auction. actually, not. i once owned five 512s that surrounded an abandoned 512 on three sides. i talked to a linden about buying it. seems they won't sell anything that large to a neighbor. not matter what the configuration. but he did fast-track it into the auction queue after i submitted a support ticket asking that it be put up for auction.

From what I understand LL auctions off residents land for the resident, pays their bill and passes the rest to the resident. If the resident is not too badly in arrears, then they could end up with a couple bucks in their pocket. So the 512 may belong to a resident that has had their account on hold for whatever reason.

A Linden set an abandoned 512 for sale after I submitted a ticket once. It never went to auction or was assigned an auction ID. They set it for sale to a neighbor though, who bought it before I got it changed. The neighbor was the person who abandoned it to begin with, and a great person to live next to so I was ok with it. I just didn't want to see it go to auction and end up in ads. |

wow, nimue. i wish THAT linden had talked to me.
that 512 went to auction and i had to fork over $15K to get it ... and that was just a few months ago. i have NO idea who bid it up.
