I have never needed to do this so never really looked into it. I do recall that on the account page, there was an option to sell L$ for USD and those dollars would be applied to the monthly bill, and yes, that is still there. What I no longer see is an option to have those dollars sent to me in a check. Has this choice been taken away or am I overlookin

I am talking about less than $200 worth here, but due to a sudden reversal in RL, it would certainly help to have that cash.

Having it sent via check is when you cash out your accumulated USD. I think the fee to do this is 15 USD and takes a few weeks to get to you. Also, you can use paypal, for which LL charges a dollar and it can take upwards of 5 days.

So, it depends on how much you want to spend and how long you want it to take.

Once you have sold the Lindens go to the My Account page

https://secure-web14.secondlife.com/account/

and use the "Process Credit" link. It will give you three options

Options Required minimum to process Processing TimeFee
PayPal n/a 0-5 business days* US$1.00
Domestic check (USA) US$100 15 business days* US$10.00
International check US$250 15 business days* US$15.00

Chelsea, look for the "Process Credit" option. If you have USD in your account, it might appear right next to your balance. You can also find it on the right hand of the Account screen. Click this, and you will be taken to a page that allows you to choose your method of payment.

I just did this, so the fees are 10 USD for a check and can take 15 workign days (Note: LL only works Mon-Fri, so figure this as 3 weeks)

PayPal fee is lower (I think it was 1 USD, but not sure), and can be done a bit faster.

When you start to do the process, it will show you all the options and fees.

As a side note: LL won't pay into a Credit Card directly for some stupid reason. I found it annoying since they can take from my CC, but can't credit it. I imagine there's a valid bean-counter reason for this, and the idtiot who came up with the reason should be buried alive under the paperwork he/she created because of that reason.
