Newbie land purchase progressing slowly

I tried to get this question answered on Help Island Public without luck.

Thanks to past advice on in this forum I can now search for and view parcels of land.
I have found another way of searching and that is by viewing real estate vendors websites. I have found a number of lists that contain what appear to be coordinates, for example yadda yadda yadda [248, 10].

What I would like to do is to go to the client (which I have open) and teleport directly to these coords. I have tried opening the map (ctrl M) and entering the coords in the location fields but the teleport button stays greyed out.

Given a set of coords and an open client what is the simplest way to teleport to those coordinates.

You're almost there! Once you have typed in the sim name and hit search (on the map), all you have to do is place your cursor on the sim in the map before entering the coords, and you should then be able to teleport to those coords. That's assuming that the land/estate owner has the land set so that you are permitted to tp in at any coords.
