Teen Grid already covertly merged with 'main adult'?

She can get to mature sims , but cannot get to anything rated adult no matter what. BUt even on mature sims she could come into some racy content . She can come to my store in world , play zyngo, and nothing is greyed to her screen . ( Have a semi-transparent bikini ) So the teens can go to whatever as long as it is not an adult rating .
If parents, aunts, uncles, whomever is responsible for these kids looks over a shoulder once in awhile and let the child know I am watching , they won't be getting into any of the situations they are getting in. Has something happened behind our backs? Or is this something else entirely?

ya sounds like a NPIOF to me....they are separate grids...i don't think LL is going to play things that risky.. especially right now with there still mature and adult content mixed because the swaps are not over yet..

who know, but the comment further down about the snowglobe test is very interesting. When teens look at a map all mature regions have a cross over it. Afaik, there are no mature regions in the teen grid.
If it's true then as it stands kids will be able to stand in pg and cam into mature. So much for consenting adults in private I'm afraid.

There is and always has been only one grid.
The name "Teen Grid" is a misnomer. Both teen and "Main grid" areas exist in the same space.
There are behind-the-scenes settings for sims which dictate what sims can see what other sims, the same for search, and even avatar names. This is the method used to make it seem as if teen and regular SL are different places.
It is true that in "Snowglobe" All regions are visible all the time, though teen residents can not access them, so really there is no harm.
As for the OP. It seems the child actualy has a regular account, and not a Teen SL account.

I know were talking about LL here so really I shouldn't be making the following question but the cross makes no logical sense. If the little darlings can only see it on a map and can't get to it (which makes no sense to begin with) then why put the cross on it? To tempt them to get an adult account to see what they're missing? It really does make no logical sense to me.

The "cross out" code was already in the viewer, before this, As it _had_ other uses, now it only exists due to not having been removed after it's usefulness was gone. The snowglobe "bug" is a has inadvertently caused them to show up again in this case. |

It's really freaking me out.
I want to call it a mistake or a troll, but right now things are just scary enough that I'm not sure.
It hurts -everyone- if they merge the grids, in so many way.
Even PG content, you're suddenly going to have parents wondering just why you are chatting with their kids... with you never having known your 'friend' there even was a kid...
That the person who made the claim has now gone silent leads me to suspect it was a troll, in which case I may have brought it to this forum without needing to...

I really don't think you have to worry about LL doing anything so drastic a move as letting teens on here yet.. that person was probably just mistaken on what grid they ended up on or they were planting seeds to see how big something would grow .. |

Can't remember which college, but they had a project bringing underprivilged kids from the neighborhood into SL (the main grid), for one thing. I assume there are lots of such activities sanctioned by Linden Lab. (Note that this is not "merging the grids".)

Though the OP's post sounds like some brat was allowed by his/her loving family to get an adult grid account, didn't age verify OR put a form of payment on them.
