If one wanted to wear a tiny avatar, but had never done this before, how would one go abou t it? Is there a magic word? Special dance? I wore the shape and skin and the results are just plain scary...to scary to even post a pic.
Thanks for any help, advice or magic spells. ![]() |

Did you wear the prims that came with it too?
Typically a tiny avatar, in addition to the shape and the skin, includes prims that make up the final shape of the avatar. Usually one of these prims has a "body crusher" AO in it that folds up your avatar so that it fits inside the prims and looks cute walking around. So try wearing everything that came with the tiny avatar, and take a few steps around to get the AO to kick in. See if that works. _____________________

What Madhu said, you need to wear the prims that came with the avatar. Usually the quickest way to get the whole avi on is to drop the folder from your inventory onto yourself. If you do this, you will wear everything that is in the folder.
(This is the easiest way to change back too. Make a folder, I call mine Quick Change, that has a copy of your regular shape, skin, hair, and a copiable set of clothes and shoes. I even keep a copy of my AO and Mysti HUD in there. When you are ready to change back, drop that folder on yourself and it will replace the tiny av. Saves a lot of digging through your inventory and reduces the time you spend in that awful half transformed state.) _____________________

Its like any other AV

To use a tiny AV just hit the replace outfit command in the folder's menu just any other AV type and you will switch to it. Just remember to save your other AV in it's own folder so you can switch back.
Another note, the first time you go tiny, you may be in for a suprise with the new view on things, and you may get stepped on a few times. I suggest getting a collsion warning for that, there are free squeakers out there and I have a free zapper (its copy/mod so you can chage the sound in it) in the box on the right at my shop in Heron Shire, it just depends on the type of tiny you have. Plus every one at the Raglan regions is willing to help out new tinies, don't hesitate to ask!! ![]() _____________________
Warning, I WILL reverse engineer any thing that is copy/mod!!
I don't mean to offend the original builder, I just like to see how things are made and to get ideas for my own builds. ![]() |

The easiest way to put on your tiny is to right click the folder that it is in inside of your inventory and then choose replace outfit. After you're wearing this, take a step forward to complete the "falling in of prims". When I put my tinies on, it's always a horrid sight until I've taken that step forward so all will fall in.

You'll probably have to take off your full-sized-avatar AO if you're using one. Animations designed for full-sized avatars can cause wierd looking arms and legs to pop out of your tiny avatar.

Tinies can be loads of fun, but come with some caveats:
Don't try to use any animations or AO's that are designed for normal avatars. Dance balls, furniture, sexy walk AO's and all the other kinds of pose balls and AO's out there tend to conflict with the critical AO that a Tiny uses to fold your body up so small. For example, use a dance ball in a club, and you look like the Tiny got tortured to death on The Rack! There ARE dance bracelets, furniture, dance ball sets, and any other sort of animated stuff out there, designed specificly to work WITH tinies. A large animation shop, like Abranimations and Friends, will have a wing dedicated specificly to stuff for Tinies. And a sim that has lots of Tinies, like Raglan Shire, will have loads of options, and residents who wear these ultra-small avatars all the time, and who love to share the knowledge of "how to get small". Enjoy! _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Everything worked just as described and I'm now addicted to my little tiny. One question tho...is it considered inappropriate for a tiny to run around clothes-less? I do have a bow on my head.

I have a tiny land at my amusement park as well, there's two different free tinies you can grab. They are properly aligned, it depends who makes them and what poses and animations they come into contact with. Some are flawless, I have seen some pretty bad ones as well.

not sure where to ask this, scripting or building, and since this is a tiny thread I figured maybe some tiny makers are looking
I decided to try my hand at making a small (ie tiny) avatar, I have a free body crusher thing, that scrunches my body up and has a transparent ball around me to hide me but the walk still seems to be too strideful for the thing I am making so my question is... is there a place to buy the crusher/ao/walks/anything else needed, to make a tiny walk correctly (with the copy/tran perms cuz if this works out I plan to put it for sale or at least give to some friends) _____________________
