Logging Actions

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for a way to log as many actions I do in SL as possible. I know you can log all text chats, but is there a way to log anything else? I'm talking everything from teleports and voice chat to distance walked and map areas viewed.

I know most of these things are impossible to log, but is there anything out there or any way that you guys know that will log as much as possible? I'm working on a project in SL, and the ability to go back and look at what I've done is extremely important.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

The full version of the MystiTool will maintain a TP history. Not sure about the rest of what you are wanting.

Short answer is no. There might be scripts available to do some of the things.

Looking to make more realistic club bots?

You may try something more 3rd party like macro tools or key-loggers (though not the malicious kind). They can track and time mouse movement, key presses, key releases, button clicks, etc. They maybe what you are looking for. EZ Macro is a name that comes to mind but a quick google for "Windows Macro" will give you a nice selection of choices.

Based on these pictures, I'm giving you a 9.1 - which is a VERY strong start for your first submission (heh - I said "submission";). You are a slut, but in the most positive, sexy way. Congratulations and shame on you!

Thanks a lot guys, these are some really good ideas that I'm going to look into. Maybe I should give a little background on what I'm doing.. I'm working on a project that's looking at how different people use technology, specifically in Second Life. So I'm setting up a type of mini-game in SL that 20-50 people will then work through, and afterwards I'm going to go back and analyze how exactly they used the text chat vs the voice chat vs private messaging, walking vs flying vs teleportation, etc. The more information I can harvest, the better. And obviously the easier it is to go through, also the better. I had even thought about screen capturing the participants and then watching exactly what each did, but that would take way too much time to be a practical option.

Keep the ideas coming!

If you figure out a way to do any/all of this logging, you need to make sure that everyone involved knows that you are doing it.

Yeah, absolutely. All of the participants will be in a lab and know everything that is happening to/around them. It's all completely legitimate, I promise!

The debug console lists everything that happens...but it's in such a cryptic form that I'm not sure how much use it will be to you.

I've found that the chat logs actually tell you where you teleported FROM, but I can't find a way to tell where you teleported TO. The debug could be useful if I could write a program that translates it into something that makes sense!

My chat logs don't say anything about where I TP from. What viewer version are you using?

That is a valid release number - not the one I use most of the time. I will have to log in with that version and check that out.
