Hey. On the Shoutcast website it says;

"This plug-in is available only on the x86/Win32 platform, and runs under any version of Windows 95, 98, NT, or Windows 2000 (Intel Platform)."

...so I guess no SL DJs use Windows XP...the only alternative would be IceCast, that I know of.

...has anybody here used Shoutcast + the DSP Plugin to DJ? Maybe the documentation is "wrong" (?)

(After reading enough SL documentation, I usually ask the CUSTOMERS/users for the real answer. Ha)

Winamp works fine with XP and Vista.. I run it on Vista 64 with no problems.

WinAmp Plus the Shoutcast Plugin runs fine on Windows XP.. atleast it did when I used it a year ago. They just need to update their documentation.

Thanks both of you.

Claari, my question was:

Does the OS called Windows XP Professional + Winamp with the ShouCast DSP Plugin + yes; a remote, rented, ShoutCast SERVER = functionality in-world...

...both of you solved my dilemna. Thanks for your answers ;)
