Just curious - I've seen people state the various amounts they spend on SL on a monthly basis, and I know what I'm spending. What are YOU spending, including your premium account, if you have one?

$75ish/month "tier" (actually two rentals payable in L$)

"Spending money" (shopping, tips, one-time purchases, snapshots, etc) varies wildly, but usually between $50-100.

So I spend about $125-175 in an average month buying L$.

"Normally" I spend about $200, which covers spending money for me, hubby and the kid, tiers on my business and our home. It's going to be *significantly* higher this month because I bought new land, and hubby, kid and myself each wanted new houses and furniture, along with multiple tiers while I resolve the old land issue. However, the family agreed that this was what we wanted for Christmas this year, so it made shopping very easy (and probably cheaper in the long run!)

I've put 21 to 30 US$.
I'm not sure about US$. I tend to work in £s. I set my self a limit in £s including the monthly premium account charge. Thinking about it I may spend even less. Last time I bought L$, I still have loads left.
I tend not to buy a lot. But this month was the first that I went Premium so I'm pretty new at spending lol. ;)

EDIT: This might change when it comes to owning land. I don't have any tier atm.

Hummm. My NET USD expendature is negative, since I make a profit every month, taking cash out of SL and depositing it in my bank account! The last time I paid anything IN to SL from my own wallet was to get a temporary boost in L$ so I could buy some land, and then I paid myself back a week later, from in-world profits. So I marked zero to 20.

I pay over $80 USD per month in various land rental payments to two different private sim owners. But my profits from my texture sales and other in-world work cover that easily. I spend thousands of L$ in-world each month too, also covered by my sales profits.

Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

I think I underestimated when I voted. 11500LS$ on island rental tier (so what's that, about 40 dollars or so). 88 USD on land tier (including VAT). Spends. That's about it ... I am trying to cut down on spends atm and since I am not in the middle of a build I am not as tempted by "things".

Well, I worked it out just a day or two back. Two premium accounts at annual subs plus my second land purchase (group of two = 1024 tier-free) and a couple of small 'buy lindens' spread over the last year comes to about 13$ a month.

However ... if the question had been what does SL cost, I'd have to take into account the L$700 a month stipend which would have cost 137$ to buy so that's a dollar back per month ;)

Ditto! Good thing he doesn't have access to my AOL account. And never looks at my personal credit card.

/me makes mental note to log off from this forum when done posting.

31-50 I did put down.

About 11k L$ for rental payment, which equals about 40 dollar. A little spending money to but things I need for my designs (textures and poseballs mainly) should cover it I guess. The purpose is to bring this down a little by actually selling stuff :-) My advertising gets payed from the stipend.

Since I sold my mainland, and made some profit in buying and selling land, I can cover about 3 months of rent before I have to draw the dreaded CC again, so it would be great if before that time I desgned enough nice things to sell. But even if not, for this amount of money I have a great deal of fun, and calculating it back to euro's it is only 35 euro. And since I don't pay LL tier anymore, I save 19% vat ;)

Greetings, Marcel

I would probably have put a zero category (don't spend any money) rather than lumping it into 0-20.

I currently spend $25(+VAT) for land, and $72 a year (+VAT) for premium so that works out as $36.45 per month. However I make around $55 a month so I can afford it. I am however looking to buy more land to open a new improved store, so that will up my land to $40 giving me a cost of $54 a month, leaving me with a profit of $1 a month, lol. However I'm hoping that the improved user experience and added product lines (with more to come) to go with it will boost that back up again.
