ok, so i tped into a venue to hear sojurn play some and when i rezzed this black eyeball looking thing kept shining this annoying light on me... i mean where ever i went this damn thing shined it freakin light on me.... creeped me out... so much so I didnt even stay for his show.... ok, i was not overly primmy and i had a bit of bling (low bling for sure as i hate it) on my santa hat.. but other than that I have no idea why this damn thing was following me! there was plently of other more blingy things avatar and they were pillin gup at the landing point to where this thing came from....
why why why and what was it?

why why why and what was it? It was a Security Drone. They can seem very intimidating, but usually they go to the next person who lands in the sim or leave you after about half a minute. They don't really serve much of a purpose except to "meet and greet" people in their unique way - and they remind me of overzealous shop assistants who come along and say "can I help you" before your eyes have even had chance to focus on the interior of the store! I think if you had walked further into the venue the drone would have lost interest in you. They're usually set up to just patrol a few meters range. |

I do not know if derender is in non-Emerald viewers. If so, next time derender it. Then it will not bother you as you will not be able to see it.

It could be muted. If it is an avatar, and I have seen avatars dressed up in security bot costumes, then that would cause a grey shape to be hovering around you. Derendering, though, removes it from your screen.
