Another use for Derender.

I just tried a new thing, or at least new to me. If someone comes in with a sun spot facelight, you can derender it and it takes the light effect with it. But all the other attached lights still work fine.

mine is in a ball within a ball within a ball and i'm always on the move..Catch me if you can :D

Kidding..this sounds great.now i can turn off the sun at night when they go walking by hehehe
Some are like poacher lights at night :eek: need these :cool:

I've been using the "Hide Selected" to make better photos for years. That and inserting extra prims to fill gaps etc.

I'm fairly certain this was meant as a perv tool. Shame on you for finding a legitimate usage! ;)

SL has had the capability to turn of all facelights for sometime now..

If you go into the Advanced Menu, under Rendering, there is an option there called "Attached Lights", that turns off all light from attachments. :)

Yes, I know that. Turning off attached lighting turns off ALL attached lighting.

Dereneder only turns off the single, offending light. That is the point.
