new viewer question

Ive just downloaded the newest viewer...one thing ive noticed (so far) is that I can no longer hit the tp links in blogs i read to get the landmark inworld...is there a setting I need to alter for this to work?

oh anddd also...whats up with the edit box, no more or less..you have to have the whole box open all the time? ugh dont like that lol

Huh: I hadn't even noticed that the Edit tool now has no "More" / "Less" button--I'd always run it open ("More", and that sometimes led to confusion when explaining to newbies ("What 'General' tab???", so on balance it's an improvement to have that option gone, for my purposes.

Depending on what that means, on Firefox (at least), there's an about:config setting for network.protocol-handler.app.secondlife that might need updating to point to the new release. I've no clue about other browsers.

yes alot of ppl say the always run it open.. but it constantly gets in the way.. during appearance mode or just wanting to line up prims its in the way and u cant click on the colored arrrows in some cases cause the edit window is in the way.. i voted to get it back on but from what i read the lindens say its a big problem to keep on more lag to i have noticed with the new viewer

I dont like having to have the whole edit box open...i usually work with my invent open,and various texture sheets...etc..it just gets in the way

Yes more laggy but the way SL has performed over the last few days Im not sure if its justa continuation of that or the new viewer lol

Dont like the *detach* button moving eitherI keep hopping into edit appearance lol DUH

Probably not helpful, but: you know you can minimize the Edit window, right? The arrows still work, etc.--the object is still selected in the Editor, but the window itself is out of the way. Lately I've been doing stuff that requires repeated object Edit selection, copying and renaming and dragging from Inventory, resetting two scripts, copying text from Local Chat and pasting it into a notecard while sitting on, touching, and standing from in-world objects; if I couldn't minimize windows, I'd be in a straightjacket now.

yes i do know that...I guess ive grown accustomed to how i work and dont like having to think anymore than usual lol Itll become 2nd nature I suppose afterawhile
