Ghost Prims, and Prim Count doesnt add up

First thing, I'm getting REALLY sick of returning prims that visually return but still "exist" on my land. Some jackass places something down, I return it, and yet it still wont let me walk through it at all. Have we got a better way to fix this yet instead of "ask LL and wait until Jesus returns"?

Also, I checked prim count on my land and have come to find a very unusual thing. Here's why.

Primitives on Parcel: 1544

Ok, so that's straightforward. 1544. Moving on.

Owned by Parcel Owner: 46
Set to Group: 911
Owned by others: 555
Selected/Sat Upon: 32

Again, totals to 1544. Now, I do a listing for object owners.

Owner 1: 1083
Owner 2: 151
Owner 3: 137
Owner 4: 83
Objects Deeded to Group: 46

That's it. Total is 1500 on the money. So where the hell are these other 44 coming from? I would have thought the ghost prims but there were only two I removed recently, not 44. Any help/ideas? Thanks!

In your case, it's the selected/sat upon ones that give you the problems, those are ghost prims you can't seem to get rid of. Other users have said a sim restart helps in this case though.

But I have quite the opposite prim counting problem - apparently I own more prims than I actually have on my land...

Primitives on Parcel: 371

That count seems pretty accurate if I add/delete stuff to me.

Owned by Parcel Owner: 0
Set to Group: 361
Owned by others: 10
Selected/Sat Upon: 0

So - first one that doesn't add up here...

Owner 1: 387
Owner 2: 16
Owner 3: 2
Owner 4: 2

So there's actually 407 prims on my land? Uuuuhm.... what??

It is a mystery of the universe, which is better than thinking the universe is having some chuckles at our expense.

the prim count per owner on a parcel is known to be counting inaccurate.
its just that the dissplay is vague there, it almost looks like it is a binary rounded value.

I find this particularly programmatic with things that emit or spawn other things.
