i cannot get one note card to open for me. when i try i get a grayed out blob that will not move unless i relog in the upper left corner:

at the risk of sounding like a helpless female...HALP?

yes i know this should go under technical, but i have gotten better and more accurate answers here than anywhere else.

which version are you using?
what are the notecard permissions?

is anything else acting like this?

ave you tried different sims, clear cache, relog, etc

I've seen this with textures too. Usually, if I can snag that little orange-banded triangle and drag it down and to the right, the window will open with contents. And when that doesn't work, it means my client is doomed anyway. But if it's only with one specific notecard, it could be that the notecard itself is b0rked (which should give a database error, actually) or cached wrong (with the usual clear-cache-restart remedy).

(Totally off-topic: I notice the cam controls on the UI; encourage a try of Alt-drag and Control-Alt-drag: once it becomes automatic, it's incredibly liberating!)

For me, this nearl always is sim or asset server related. I can have a notecard window up that hasn't loaded for minutes, TP to an empty ocean sim, and bingo it opens.

VERY occasionally I've seen it happen when I'm really low on memory, after a long session. Then I have to reboot to clear it up.

ty Guys!!! i will try everything suggested, and yes its only on note cards for now, doesn't matter what perms, i did switch clients and now it works fine, but i now have no friends list :/

did do the grab the triangle, it was how i got the gray blob

, but its fine for now ty all!!

And GIANT doors! Holy cow! Jeebers! That door must be 12 feet tall! What kind of giants do you live with!?

Oh, and there's a griefer that looks like Yoda peeking in your window. Want me to come over and orbit him? Your house is pretty big. I don't know if I can orbit him much over the roofline.
