That's sad not being able to get into SL.
Sorry I got no answer to get you in, but each day I pop in and out several times a day and in the period you mention Ive had no problem, I'm in the UK.
Hope you get sorted.
Love, June

It's only certain accounts June; from what I understand it depends on which server the account's inventory is stored. I've been able to sign in on my main with few problems, but the account I really need to use for my building has been blocked out for over 24 hrs now :/

My days going fine. I got the new version of Kaneva installed last night. Kaneva's got a outdoors now! TNT has made a big installation in Kaneva, and they've got some videos around advertising shows like Saving Grace and such. The outdoors is a major change for Kaneva. So some folks that are having trouble with SL might want to give Kaneva a look or a second look if they've tried it before. (Don't get your hope up though - still no building or other content creation like SL has).

This morning I've installed the latest version of Hipihi - which has a preliminary, partially translated English interface.

I have tried to log on to SL since I woke up today. I was on SL a lot yesterday and had no trouble at all with regard to login or to inventory.

I guess I'll fire up the Novoking virtual world beta now.

I hope these company's plans include making it possible to run all these worlds at the same time.

Downloaded the update, logged on, it's running so slowly I can't turn my avatar around in less than twelve slowwwww steps. Utterly disfunctional. Just what I'm looking for in a required update. Wake me next week and tell me if SL is working. I haven't been able to log in and travel around for weeks and weeks without constant attachment failures. Now I can't even enjoy my time at home. Congrats, SL, you have achieved total collapse.

Don't be so defensive, I'm sure everone here loves you! (Even if you are an American!)

I'm in UK and I've been locked out since yesterday afternoon (that's real time, GMT lol!) only able to get in occasionally by hammering repeatedly. Last time I found I had grown boobs and lost a foot in height which was a bit worrying, hope it's not permanent, my GF will not be happy...................

Have to say, I'm a relative newbie (and a programmer in RL) and it seems the system is extremely unstable at the moment, has been virtually from when I got over to the mainland from Help Island. Just hope they have it in hand and know what they're doing though I haven't been filled with confidence so far.

According to the blog they're kicking all those affected by the inventory server issue at the moment so they can be moved to the back-up one. If they work fast you might get your fix after all :D

To the OP''s original question: very well, thank you. And Happy Thanksgiving or Thursday as I like to call it :)

I'm stuck at home. If I go anywhere else I get throttled out. This happens intermittently.

Nothing to do with the usual problems today, it clears up by itself eventually.

Apparently and as far as I understand it (so please don't take my word for it :D ), this log in error message was received by newish residents with their inventory on the same server. That server was borked, so now they're moving the whole lot to a back-up server.

I actually cannot believe I just said that and also more or less understand what I've said. :o

Well, unlike Home Computers, Servers are finicky creatures. Try this at home:

Keep your hard drives, Processor, RAM, network and other components running at full capacity 24/7 365 days a year, then see how quickly you start replacing parts. Sooner or later, its bound to happen.

Relax.
