When I see a description for a sofa, it says "non MLP." I'm not sure what that means.

MLP is a free, open system by Miffy Fluffy for rezzing poseballs with a variety of single and double poses. While it's often used for so called "sex beds" it's actually very useful for any furniture where multiple poses are desirable.

I thought it might mean "Multi Level Player", as if it meant that it actually animates more than one avatar. I don't know.

So if it says, "18 MLP positions," it doesn't tell me what to expect, other than it has 18 stubs for whatever poseballs you want to install. Right?? |

Right. And while it was intended for Love, it can be used for any type of animations, including those that are couples/3some/etc poses. So, you could put it in a chair and let the user decide how to sit. It takes a bit of detail work to set up.

haha, yes, i should hope so!
So, "non-MLP" just means that they have their own script to handle the animations, so folks who are expecting MLP won't be surprised to find it's not. |

Unless I missed a new version, MLP only does 1 and 2 person animations, not three or more. |

MLP is open source, and free. It is really just an animation control system, I've seen (completely asexual!!) dance balls set up using MLP.
XPose is not open source. You can pick up the beta version of Xpose for free as well at the moment, I believe. Not sure of the perms. Locations for both MLP and XPOSE are in Miffy Fluffy's picks. |
