I hope other people are experiencing this: At least every 10 minutes (more like 5) the entire viewer freezes. All clicks, camera rotations, are logged, so that when the viewer unfreezes again, my avatar is suddenly 20 m away from where she was last, new menus are open, etc. The freeze seems to last anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. This is an issue in JIRA now; here's the link: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2051Have other people noticed an increase in this since the mandatory upgrade on 19 Sept?

From: Oryx Tempel Have other people noticed an increase in this since the mandatory upgrade on 19 Sept? Yes. It is substantially worse for me now. Very frustrating.

This sounds like https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2051Not like this would help anyone, but at least it means the Lindens know about this bug for quite a while already and are (hopefully) trying to fix it. The Nicholaz viewer tries to do the same. maybe you got more luck with that one which you can get here: http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/^_^ -Asriazh

No problem here..... (until now that is ^^).
Could there be a difference that I denied (which is default now) to install voice?
And no this not an anti-voice thingy. Just something that I noticed...

It's possible, Morwen, but I completely uninstalled the client after a disastrous crash the other day, and never bothered to enable Voice. The new 1.18.2 has remembered that option, and Voice is not enabled on it, either. So I'm not using Voice, nor is it even enabled. Dunno.

Oryx, I'm using the Nicholaz viewer 18xm for the latest RC viewer and I don't have your problems... at all. And it uses a *lot* less memory than any of the LL viewers. Imho, the Nicholaz viewers are way better in every way than the LL viewers. You should consider giving it a try. The latest and greatest one he's got now is 18xn. Btw, if you read Nicholaz's blog, his viewers are not affected by the SLURL exploit because he uses a different program name than the LL viewers.

I'm going to check out the Nicholaz viewer, because I have the same problem as Oryx. The freezing up is much worse with the latest version.

Don't forget to vote for the issue in JIRA, too, Trout. If we're seeing it, and we're only like 6.4 x 10e-4 percentage of all users who see this (according to the votes) then maybe some others are as well...
